When you join as an individual you can create a profile, much like an online CV or Resume, with the opportunity to “connect” with like-minded professionals, associates or prior workmates. The name of the game is peer-to-peer networking through first, second and third generation relationships.

Importantly, LinkedIn now offers companies the opportunity to create and manage a Company Profile as well. This provides you with the opportunity to present your company to prospective partners or clients as well as connect your entire team together in one place.
